Terms of Service

Effective date: 26 July 2026

Rainbow Coach (“Rainbow”, “the app”) is a parenting assistant built and operated by Ravindranath Gangampalli (sole developer, Singapore). By downloading or using Rainbow you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The service

Rainbow helps parents manage and support their children's learning and growth. It is currently in beta, distributed through Apple TestFlight, and is free to use. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product develops.

Your account

You must be an adult to use Rainbow. Google sign-in is optional and used only to enable optional cloud features. You are responsible for keeping your device and account secure. Child profiles exist inside the parent's app and remain under the parent's control; children do not create accounts.

Your content

Everything you put into Rainbow, including child profiles, schedules, scans, notes and chat history, remains yours. It is stored on your device as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of your content, and we process it only as needed to run the features you choose to use (for example, sending a request you make to an AI provider to generate its response).

AI guidance, not professional advice

Rainbow's coaching is generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. It is a parenting aid, not a substitute for professional educational, medical, or psychological advice. Decisions about your family remain yours.

Cloud AI and fair use

Rainbow works fully offline with on-device AI. If you use Rainbow Cloud (invite-only during beta), requests are processed through our AI gateway on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, with Sarvam AI for Indian-language speech. Microsoft does not use your prompts or the responses to train its models or any third-party models, and our gateway does not store your content. See the Privacy Policyfor the full picture. Cloud access is subject to fair-use quotas and may be modified or suspended for abuse, security, or cost reasons. If you bring your own AI key, that provider's terms apply to those requests.

Acceptable use

Intellectual property

The app, the Rainbow name and mark, and all software and design belong to the developer. If you send feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Rainbow without obligation to you.

Disclaimers and liability

Rainbow is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Rainbow in the twelve months before the claim (currently zero, as Rainbow is free).

Ending use

You can stop using Rainbow at any time; in-app controls let you delete your data, and deleting the app removes on-device data. We may suspend or end access to cloud features for breach of these terms or abuse of the service.

Changes

We'll update this page when the terms change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
